Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, culinary arts, or related field preferred
- minimum three years of relevant food and beverage experience
- experience working in hotel food and beverage or restaurant industry
- strong leadership and supervisory skills
- excellent communication and customer service skills
- ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- knowledge of food safety regulations and standards
- physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform tasks during long shifts
- ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
Job Qualifications
- Three or more years of progressive food and beverage experience or successful food and beverage service
- experience in high volume catering with hotel top brands and fine dining
- proven leadership and managerial skills promoting colleague growth and teamwork
- current knowledge of culinary trends and active culinaty development
- creative with strong service skills and ability to energize culinary teams
- computer literate
Job Duties
- Direct and supervise catering food and alacarte operations
- collaborate with Executive Chef to prepare food items using standardized recipes
- maintain high quality, cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards
- manage food cost, payroll cost, and operating expenses
- expedite peak meal periods with a hands on approach
- monitor food outlets, buffets, stations, and food displays for quality and creativity
- assure timely setup and proper scheduling of cooks
- assist restaurant and banquet managers in daily operations
- coordinate food and beverage services for conventions and group activities
- foster teamwork within kitchen department and maintain strong interdepartmental relationships
- respond to food related feedback and generate proper reports
- ensure kitchen equipment maintenance and operational readiness
- participate in departmental and hotel wide meetings and support hotel committees
