This job opening is for a Food Service Supervisor position located at BayCare's South Florida Baptist Hospital. The role is a full-time non-exempt position with shift hours that vary, including working weekends in a 2-on-1-off rotation. The Food Service Supervisor assists in the coordination of daily food production for a diverse range of customers such as patients, cafeteria patrons, and catering clients. A key responsibility includes overseeing inventory management and ensuring production quality control metrics are maintained, with prompt corrective actions taken when necessary. The supervisor will also contribute to team member functions, including interviewing, coaching, scheduling, and participating in orientation, training, and competency assessments. This role requires collaboration with the Executive Chef and other food service staff to develop recipes and menus using food service management software. Importantly, the Food Service Supervisor must be prepared to assume all duties of the Executive Chef during their absence, demonstrating leadership and operational expertise.
