The role of Kitchen Supervisor at The Ritz-Carlton involves overseeing daily kitchen operations to ensure the highest standards of culinary excellence and guest satisfaction. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 4 years experience in culinary or related food and beverage field
- OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related
- Minimum 2 years experience in culinary or related field
- Ability to lead and supervise kitchen staff
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Capability to manage daily kitchen operations effectively
- Experience with labor management systems
- Ability to handle guest interactions and resolve complaints
- Commitment to high-quality food preparation and presentation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 4 years experience in culinary or related field
- OR 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major with 2 years experience
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills

Job Duties
- Manages kitchen shift operations and ensures compliance with all food and beverage policies, standards and procedures
- Estimates daily production needs and communicates with kitchen personnel
- Assists Executive Chef with kitchen operations and food preparation
- Prepares and cooks food items regularly or for special functions
- Develops new food applications, ideas, and presentations
- Maintains purchasing, receiving and food storage standards
- Ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
- Supervises and coordinates activities of kitchen staff
- Leads shifts while preparing food and executing specifications
- Uses communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage team members
- Encourages trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
- Maintains productivity and ensures employees understand expectations
