Job Requirements

  • Three years of prior supervisor experience required
  • Three years of prior cook and/or chef experience required
  • Large scale kitchen experience a plus
  • Open availability including some nights and weekends
  • Ability to comply with all food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to perform physical tasks required in a kitchen environment

  • Experience in large-scale kitchen environments is a plus
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work varied shifts including nights and weekends

Job Duties

  • Cook and prepare food following approved recipes and production standards
  • Ensure all deadlines are met based on production orders
  • Supervise hourly food service associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and disciplinary actions
  • Store food in designated areas following all corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
  • Maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils
  • Clean workstation thoroughly before leaving area
  • Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service
  • Interact with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • Relay relevant information directly to supervisor
  • Demonstrate complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explain them to associates and customers
  • Monitor inventory and deliveries of product and supplies
  • Track product production, consumption and waste
  • Inform supervisor when supplies or product are low
  • Perform other duties as assigned
