Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of Sous Chef experience in upscale casual or fine dining environment
  • Strong broiler skills
  • Experience in steakhouse preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work in fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Food safety knowledge

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef in upscale casual or fine dining
  • Proficiency with broiler cooking techniques
  • Experience in a steakhouse setting is a plus
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Job Duties

  • Assist Executive Chef when present and act on behalf when absent in organizing, training and employee management
  • Assist Executive Chef to prepare data for budget, project annual food, labor and other costs, monitor financial results and take corrective action
  • Regularly create unique dishes and menu items for daily features and specialty events
  • Consult with guests to meet dietary restrictions and palate preferences
  • Support kitchen operations to ensure food quality, safety, and efficiency
  • Lead kitchen staff and oversee daily meal preparation processes
  • Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed
