Job Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Minimum two years of related work experience
- One year of supervisory experience
- Knowledge of wine varieties and service
- Ability to attend wine tastings and vendor meetings
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform manual tasks
- Follow all company policies and alcohol service laws
- Maintain professional appearance and behavior
- Ability to handle guest inquiries and concerns
- Ability to complete opening and closing duties
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect assets
- Commitment to teamwork and positive work environment.
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Communicate with guests, employees, and/or departments to ensure teamwork and guest needs are met
- Answer guest questions regarding the origin, vintage, and style of wines
- Create, update, and maintain wine lists
- Pair and suggest wines complementing menu items
- Attend wine tastings and develop vendor relationships
- Request new wines and products
- Design and implement wine promotions and incentive programs
- Monitor and replenish wine cellar inventory, equipment, and glassware
- Conduct vintage and BIN number checks
- Conduct staff wine tastings
- Complete opening and closing duties
- Inspect storage areas for organization, FIFO use, and cleanliness
- Complete scheduled inventories and requisition supplies
- Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and guest well-being
- Complete work orders for maintenance repairs
- Issue, open, and serve wine and champagne bottles
- Secure alcoholic beverages and storage areas
- Follow all laws and policies for responsible alcohol service
- Maintain accurate spill sheets
- Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and coaching employees
- Serve as role model and first contact for Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy
- Follow safety and security policies
- Report accidents and unsafe conditions
- Complete safety training
- Maintain clean and professional appearance
- Protect company assets
- Welcome guests and anticipate service needs
- Assist individuals with disabilities
- Communicate professionally
- Maintain positive working relationships
