Job Requirements

  • Minimum five years of food and beverage service experience
  • Level 2 sommelier certificate preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multitask and take initiative
  • Must obtain required work documents including health and alcohol awareness cards
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be polished, professional, and friendly
  • Commitment to guest service
  • Dedicated with a sense of urgency

Job Qualifications

  • At least a level 2 sommelier certificate preferred
  • Minimum five years of gourmet food and beverage service experience preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Polished, professional, friendly, and dynamic
  • Able to multitask and take initiative in a VIP-driven environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting
  • Dedicated and willing to exceed expectations
  • Possess a sense of urgency to complete responsibilities
  • Ability to obtain necessary work documents such as health card and alcohol awareness card
  • Fluent in English both written and oral
  • Multilingual skills are a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with hospitality attitude

Job Duties

  • Must be all about the team
  • Must put the guest first
  • Say yes and thank you often
  • Maintain proper inventory levels of wines, other beverages and supplies
  • Order supplies through software systems
  • Set up items on inventory and master lists
  • Train employees on wine and beverage service and knowledge
  • Supervise junior sommeliers on their performance
  • Enforce proper beverage service standards during service
  • Direct and engage in wine service during restaurant hours
  • Manage point-of-sale systems including pricing and maintenance
  • Taste and evaluate wines and beverages for potential purchase
  • Maintain professionalism to encourage guest return
  • Assist guests and employees effectively
  • Communicate with management, chefs and culinary staff to address needs
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
