Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Must be able to obtain work documents required for the position such as Health Card and Alcohol Awareness Card
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Dedicated and willing to go above and beyond
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be fluent in English both written and oral

Job Qualifications

  • At least a Level 2 Sommelier Certificate preferred
  • At least five years of gourmet food and beverage service experience preferred
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Polished, professional, friendly, dynamic and able to multitask and take initiative in a VIP driven and guest service focused environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Dedicated and willing to go above and beyond
  • Maintains a sense of urgency attitude for task completion
  • Must be fluent in English both written and oral
  • Strong interpersonal, communication skills and hospitality driven attitude
  • Multilingual skills are a plus

Job Duties

  • Must be all about the team
  • Must put the guest first
  • Say yes and thank you often
  • Maintain proper inventory levels of wines, other beverages and supplies
  • Order supplies through SW systems
  • Set up items on Stratton Warren, Purchase, Inventory and Master List
  • Train employees on wine and beverage service and knowledge
  • Supervise junior sommeliers on their performance
  • Enforce proper beverage service standards of all employees during service
  • Direct and engage in wine service during restaurant service hours
  • Manage POS systems with pricing and maintenance to ensure checks are processed correctly
  • Taste and evaluate wines and other beverages for potential purchase
  • Maintain professionalism to encourage guest return
  • Work as a team member assisting all guests and employees' needs and inquiries
  • Effectively communicate with management, chefs and culinary staff to fulfill and address guest or employee needs
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
