Job Description

Hall Management Group is a renowned operator of several high-end restaurants across South Carolina and Tennessee, including the prestigious Halls Chophouse located in Charleston, Greenville, Columbia, Nexton, and Nashville. Known for its commitment to exceptional dining experiences, Hall Management Group fosters an environment where both employees and guests are treated with the utmost respect and care. The group operates a diverse portfolio of restaurants such as Halls Catch, Rita's at Folly Beach, High Cotton, S.N.O.B, and also organizes premium events under Halls Signature Events. Each establishment under the Hall Management Group umbrella is distinguished by its unique culinary offerings, exceptional service, and dedication to quality, which has made the brand a staple in the hospitality industry in the Southeast United States.

The Sommelier role at Halls Chophouse is a life-changing opportunity for an individual passionate about wine and hospitality to advance their career in a vibrant and welcoming environment. This role centers around educating and empowering guests to navigate an extensive wine list seamlessly. The Sommelier brings the origins of each bottle to life, sharing detailed knowledge about regions, varietals, and vineyards that make each wine unique. Through your expertise, you elevate the dining experience, allowing guests to truly appreciate how the soil, climate, and craftsmanship culminate in every pour.

As a Sommelier, you are not only a wine expert but also an ambassador of hospitality, embodying the core values of warmth, respect, and personalized service that define Halls Chophouse. Your role extends beyond the bottle; it is about making guests feel at home while indulging in a unique culinary journey paired with perfectly selected wines. You are encouraged to continuously grow your understanding of the vine and the broader beverage spectrum, including spirits, beer, and cocktails, which makes your expertise invaluable to the team and clientele.

This position offers a supportive and enriching work environment where your professional development is highly prioritized. The company provides comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits available to all managers from day one, with significant premium contributions. Other benefits include paid time off to balance work-life commitments, a generous dining discount across all Hall Management Group restaurants, flexible spending accounts, and an employee assistance program focusing on mental well-being. Additionally, the company offers a 401(k) plan with a 4% company match to help secure your financial future.

Overall, the Sommelier role at Halls Chophouse is perfectly suited for hospitality-minded individuals dedicated to delivering extraordinary service and continually nurturing their wine expertise while enjoying a stable and rewarding career with a reputable company.
