Job Requirements

  • reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
  • willing to work a flexible schedule including holidays
  • self-motivated and motivator of others
  • work in a safe, prudent and organized manner
  • ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • maintain clean and healthy personal hygiene and grooming
  • able to stand for long periods
  • able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • available to work late nights, holidays and long days as necessary

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position or proper certification
  • in-depth knowledge of food and beverage preparation
  • excellent communication and organization skills
  • ability to relate to all levels of guests and management
  • previous experience working in a high volume upscale restaurant environment

Job Duties

  • work the floor during service with an emphasis on beverage sales
  • up-sell at all possible opportunities
  • maintain a high quality level of service regarding body language, eye contact and proper verbiage
  • maintain thorough knowledge of all wine, sake, beer, spirits, specialty cocktails, teas and sodas and all non-alcoholic beverages
  • oversee maintenance and cleanliness of all decanters, wine stations and all storage areas pertaining to beverage
  • open and close as needed
  • provide excellent service at all times to all guests
  • respond to all guest questions and provide assistance, direction and information
  • assist in other aspects of service as needed
  • attend all food and beverage training classes
  • attend daily pre-meal communication meetings
  • follow posted opening, closing duties and side work sheet
