Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience as a sommelier or in a similar role in the hospitality industry
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- ability to train and lead a team effectively
- strong organizational and inventory management skills
- US work authorization
- willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- extensive knowledge of wine varieties, regions, and pairing techniques
- strong leadership and staff training skills
- excellent customer service and communication abilities
- experience in managing wine inventories and beverage programs
- ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- previous sommelier certification or relevant wine education is preferred
- experience in luxury hospitality or fine dining environments
Job Duties
- maintaining accurate beverage program including wine list updates and POS system
- training staff on the beverage program across all food and beverage outlets
- train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline employees in the main restaurant to ensure established cultural and core standards are met
- ensure maximum guest satisfaction through exceptional service and attention to guests and colleagues
- run the shift as manager on duty when necessary, completing all opening and closing procedures
- manage wine cellar including receipt, storage, inventory, and ordering of beverage products
- develop and maintain controls for beverage costs to maximize profitability including food and labor costs
