Job Requirements
- minimum 2 years sommelier experience
- comprehensive knowledge of old and new world wine regions and producers
- strong guest service orientation
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- physical ability to stand and walk for entire shifts
- ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- strong organizational skills
- ability to perform basic math and operate POS
- fluency in English
- ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure
Job Qualifications
- 2+ years sommelier experience in a fast-paced restaurant
- extensive knowledge of wine, winemaking, beer and spirits

Job Duties
- maintain a clean, well-organized wine cellar in accordance with company standards
- recommend wine and beverage pairings to guests
- upsell tableside offerings and retail wine selections
- keep staff informed of beverage changes
- assist with monthly inventory
- defend and promote product brands
- identify tables and seat numbers accurately
- maintain station cleanliness
- know cocktail list details including drinks, specs and flavor profiles
- understand wine by producer, variety, region, vintage, history and flavor profiles
- perform proper standards for opening bottles and tableside service
- provide warm, knowledgeable, and appreciative service to guests
- make guests feel welcomed and accommodated
- act professionally and maintain composure
- report problems to management immediately
- be aware of service flow and dining timing
- adjust service to individual guest needs
- follow steps of service rigorously
- respond to guest needs by taking orders, running food, and bussing tables
- oversee activities of your team in the station
