Job Requirements

Maintain a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to perform physical tasks including standing/walking for entire shifts, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds
Ability to use POS systems accurately
Knowledge of proper wine opening and tableside service
Ability to accept constructive criticism and take direction
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Must be fluently literate in English

Job Qualifications

At least 2 years sommelier experience in a fast-paced restaurant
Extensive knowledge of wine, winemaking, beer, and spirits
Strong guest service and communication skills
Polished presentation and professional demeanor
Ability to build positive relationships with coworkers and guests
Effective problem-solving aptitude
Fluency in English with good business math skills

Job Duties

Recommend wine and beverage pairings to guests
Maintain a clean, well-organized wine cellar
Upsell tableside and retail wine offerings
Assist with monthly inventory
Educate guests and staff on wine selections
Monitor and manage beverage station cleanliness
Respond to guest needs, including taking orders and running food
