This landmark boasts a stunning 10-meter ceilinged assembly hall, which forms the grand main room of the restaurant, providing a breathtaking setting steeped in history and architectural beauty. Hawksmoor is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Sommelier to join its dynamic team, reporting directly to the Bar/Beverage Manager and Lead Sommelier. This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of New York's emerging restaurant successes within an award-winning group, renowned for its generous pay, benefits, and supportive work environment. As the Sommelier, you will play a pivotal role in executing and maintaining the Hawksmoor wine program in the NYC location. Your duties will encompass supporting the Lead Sommelier to ensure the impeccable running of the wine selection, maintaining high levels of service and hospitality standards, and demonstrating a thorough understanding of the wine program alongside other beverage products. Being a visible and engaging presence on the dining floor, you will assist the Front of House team in delivering a seamless and elevated guest experience. The role demands an individual with a wealth of experience working in the vibrant and competitive New York bar and restaurant scene, ideally with a background in launching and opening new venues and familiarity with high-volume, high-revenue environments. Excellent interpersonal skills and product knowledge of food and beverages, especially wine, are paramount to success in this role. - Successfully executing the Hawksmoor wine programme in NYC
- supporting the Lead Sommelier in running and maintaining the wine programme in NYC

- being a strong presence on the floor supporting the Front of House team
