Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years experience in a Sommelier or related role
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- Knowledge of wine varieties and pairings
- Experience managing inventory and purchasing
- Ability to train staff
- Must be personable and guest-focused
- Competent with POS systems
- Ability to negotiate with vendors
- Must comply with health and safety standards

Job Duties
- Manage and maintain the direction of the venue wine program
- Communicate with guests with varying levels of wine knowledge
- Train staff and managers on wine service and pairings
- Organize and maintain wine inventory and cellar pars
- Drive wine sales growth while controlling costs
- Collaborate with Beverage Director on menu updates and research
- Ensure wine service standards and steps of service are met
- Manage wine purchasing and vendor negotiations
- Assist staff and guests with wine selections and pairings
- Curate and update wine lists to align with food menu and trends
- Coordinate wine tasting events for staff and guests
- Oversee cleanliness and organization of all wine areas
- Manage beverage cost, voids, comps, and spills nightly
- Schedule and manage bartenders and barbacks
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
