Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of sommelier or restaurant management experience in a high volume upscale fast-paced restaurant
  • ability to learn and train others
  • ability to drive hospitality and inspire others
  • must exhibit an aptitude for leading coaching and driving excellence at every level
  • must be available weekends and late nights
  • knowledge of Old World wines

Job Qualifications

  • minimum 2 years of experience as a sommelier or in restaurant management in a high-volume upscale setting
  • strong knowledge of Old World wines including Bordeaux and Burgundy
  • excellent leadership and communication skills
  • proven ability to train and inspire staff
  • passion for hospitality and dedication to guest experience
  • availability to work weekends and late nights
  • certification or formal wine education is a plus

Job Duties

  • manage and curate an extensive wine list with over 1,000 selections including verticals of Bordeaux, Burgundy, and domestic wines
  • assist guests in selecting appropriate wines to complement their meals
  • train and mentor restaurant staff on wine knowledge and service techniques
  • maintain optimal wine storage conditions to preserve quality
  • lead by example to promote hospitality excellence among team members
  • ensure smooth coordination with kitchen and service teams during peak hours
  • stay updated on wine industry trends and incorporate new offerings into the menu
