This full-time position requires someone with an extensive understanding of wines, excellent buying acumen, and the ability to connect guests with perfect wine pairings during their dining experience. You will be responsible for ordering, maintaining, and managing our wine inventory in accordance with company strategies. Additionally, the role involves working directly with guests in our gourmet dining room, providing personalized assistance with wine selections to enhance their overall experience. Beyond guest interaction, the Sommelier will liaise with wineries and wine distributors, attend tastings, and keep abreast of market trends to continually expand the wine offerings. This role demands a balance of business insight, service excellence, and a deep passion for viticulture. Job Requirements

  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills
  • must be able to read, write, speak and understand English

  • ability to work independently without constant supervision
  • must be able to stand for extended periods
  • tolerance for secondary smoke and high noise levels
  • demonstrated ability to maintain high quality guest service under stress

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • extensive knowledge about wine and food pairings
  • successful completion of an accredited Sommelier program
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work independently
  • professional appearance
  • experience in hospitality or related field preferred

Job Duties

  • Orders and maintains wine inventory in accordance with company objectives
  • assists guests with wine selections during dining to ensure a superior guest service experience
