Delilah Dallas is a highly anticipated restaurant opening this Fall, seeking to elevate its guest experience through the art of wine and beverage excellence. As a Sommelier at Delilah Dallas, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the overall beverage program and enhancing the dining experience with your expert knowledge of wine. This position involves working closely with the Lead Sommelier and Wine Director to guide guests through a carefully curated wine list, offering thoughtful and personalized recommendations. The Sommelier will ensure that every aspect of the wine service is aligned with the restaurant’s high standards by maintaining professionalism, warmth, and exceptional service.
The role also includes key responsibilities such as assisting with inventory management, stocking efforts, and maintaining accuracy within the point-of-sale (POS) system. Job Requirements
- Certified accreditation from a recognized organization (Court of Master Sommelier WSET) preferred
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in high volume elevated dining restaurant
- Must have Food Handler’s Certification
- Must be 21+ years of age
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be detail oriented and possess effective communication and written skills
- Ability to multi task
- Must be a team player
- Self motivated and performance driven
- Professional and courteous
- Remain in stationary position for up to 8 hours throughout the work shift
- Be able to reach bend stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
- Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance
- Effective communication written and interpersonal skills

Job Duties
- Maintain complete knowledge of wine list and wine and food pairings
- Clean equipment tools and supplies for wine service and ensure equipment is in good working order including cleanliness sanitation and appearance
- Maintain and update cellar storage inventory according to set pars and internal controls and request product to maintain stock
- Meet regularly with the wine trade to actively seek quality wines for the restaurant wine program as well as evaluate wines and other beverages for potential purchase
- Eliminate waste by training and supervising employees on wine knowledge pour levels proper storage etc
- Verify accuracy of wine delivery ordered and received from the main warehouse and return or exchange deliveries when a warehouse error has occurred
- Maintain appropriate beverage costs by managing purchases and requisitions
- Perform other job related duties as requested
