Job Description

Werner Enterprises is a leading transportation and logistics company well-known for its commitment to drivers and exceptional service in the trucking industry. Founded by a driver, for drivers, Werner prioritizes treating every driver with dignity, respect, and care, making it a top employer for military veterans and professional truck drivers alike. They offer a wide range of trucking jobs suited to various experience levels and lifestyle preferences, from solo drivers to teams, and from recent graduates to seasoned experts. Werner provides a versatile working environment with diverse route options including dedicated, over-the-road (OTR), and regional opportunities, coupled with a variety of home time schedules such as daily, weekly, bi-weekly, and tri-weekly to accommodate drivers' personal needs. This allows their drivers to balance their work and lifestyle effectively while earning competitive pay.

At Werner, more than half of solo drivers earn over $75,000 annually, and the top 25 percent make over $85,000. Some top performers reach salaries between $90,000 and $100,000, especially on dedicated routes with guaranteed weekly pay up to $1,300. Team drivers can expect earnings ranging from $55,000 to $85,000 annually, benefiting from a team-friendly equipment package and a team driver matching program designed to pair teammates based on gender, veteran status, and other preferences for better harmony and performance. Werner's Team Elite division drivers earn even more, between $90,000 to $110,000 annually, with a 3-weeks-out, 3-days-home schedule and priority truck assignment, requiring at least nine months of team driving experience.

Drivers who join Werner benefit from their Career Track program, designed to help them build skills and gain hands-on experience mentoring under highly skilled driver leaders. Werner emphasizes the importance of home time and financial stability, offering over 250 home time and pay packages to ensure drivers find the optimal balance. Additionally, Werner supports its drivers with modern technology, including advanced telematics, collision mitigation systems, 100 percent trailer tracking, and user-friendly driver portals and apps. The company also offers 24-hour maintenance assistance for trucks, ensuring drivers' equipment is always roadworthy and safe.

Werner’s benefits package is comprehensive, including health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan with company match, company-paid sick leave, life insurance, disability coverage, and health savings accounts along with health programs. Drivers can access tuition reimbursement of up to $15,000 if they qualify, as well as paid tolls and fuel cards. The company also supports military veterans with special programs like military skills test waivers and an elite veteran driver program. Werner recognizes the value of its drivers and supports career growth with an employee stock purchase plan and the Career Currency Program, which allows drivers and their families to earn graduate or college credit.

Werner Enterprises is dedicated to providing its drivers with the best possible work conditions, competitive pay, extensive benefits, and a respectful employer experience. Whether you are just starting a truck driving career or are an experienced professional looking for new opportunities, Werner offers a variety of roles and customized packages to fit your career and lifestyle goals.
