Job Description
Aonic is a pioneering company in the functional nutrition industry, based in the vibrant Jackson Square neighborhood of San Francisco. Founded with the mission to make vibrant wellness effortless for millions of Americans, Aonic is often described as the modern, healthy PepsiCo. With a strong foundation in clinical science, Aonic offers innovative products like Aonic Complete, a patent-pending all-in-one supplement, and Aonic Fuel, a clean, high-protein drink that boasts 32 grams of protein, 5 grams of fiber, and contains no artificial sweeteners or lactose. The company has successfully raised over $10 million in funding and currently serves thousands of subscribers, aiming to expand rapidly—targeting over 20x growth in 2026.
At its core, Aonic is a fast-moving, experimental team that values craft, speed, and significant impact in the wellness marketplace. The company leverages influential endorsements such as those from Kim Kardashian and other celebrities, propelling the brand’s recognition and reach. As part of its mission to help millions of Americans live healthier, happier lives, Aonic focuses heavily on social media and digital marketing as channels for growth.
The role available is for a Social-First Videographer/Editor who will become an integral part of the Social & Brand Marketing team, reporting to the Head of Social & Brand Marketing. This is an onsite position in San Francisco with a compensation range of $75,000 to $90,000 plus meaningful equity. The role is designed for creators passionate about producing social-first video content that truly resonates and engages audiences. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning the entire video production process, including conceptualizing, scripting, shooting, and editing high-performing short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
This is a high-collaboration role where the videographer/editor will drive projects from start to finish, creating various social formats such as science-forward deep dives that entertain, product storytelling with punchy demos, behind-the-scenes content featuring co-founders and scientific advisors, street-style interviews, trend-driven challenges, UGC-style content and creator collaborations, as well as event recaps and cultural moments. The focus is on making content that stops people from scrolling by leveraging strong hooks, pacing, retention strategies, and repeatable formats adaptable across platforms.
Within the first 14 to 30 days, the new hire is expected to build a reliable content engine that produces multiple videos weekly, establishes Aonic's signature visual and narrative style, and improves key engagement metrics such as 3-second holds, average watch time, completion rate, and shares or saves. They will also maintain an organized asset library that allows for continual reuse of footage. Additional responsibilities include supporting photo and video capture for product launches, lifestyle campaigns, and events, ensuring all footage meets high standards of lighting, audio, and composition.
Ideal candidates must have at least three years of experience in social-first video content creation, a compelling portfolio with content reaching a total of over 10 million organic views, and experience working with consumer packaged goods, wellness, fitness, or creator-focused brands. They must be proficient with DSLR or mirrorless camera workflows and comfortable working in scrappy, resourceful conditions where perfect conditions are not guaranteed. The role demands excellent organizational skills, a strong sense of modern social video storytelling marked by quick hooks and effective pacing, and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment with an ego-free iterative approach.
Aonic offers a highly rewarding work culture that values creator impact over bureaucratic processes, allowing employees to see the direct effect of their work on the company’s growth. The team is talented and driven, fostering an environment of high collaboration and mutual respect. Benefits include competitive medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching to help with long-term savings, unlimited paid time off plus federal holidays for work-life balance, and a compensation package that combines a solid base salary with significant equity participation, giving employees a stake in the company’s success.
