As a Social Bay Concierge at Dave & Buster's, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the guest experience within designated social bay areas. Your primary focus will be to greet guests warmly, assist them in navigating the wide range of engaging games and activities available, and ensure their time spent in the social bay is enjoyable and memorable. The position as a Social Bay Concierge is both social and service-oriented, involving interaction with guests of diverse backgrounds while managing financial transactions responsibly. You will be responsible for operating POS systems efficiently, handling cash and credit transactions accurately, and reconciling your cash bank at the end of your shifts. Attentiveness to guests' needs, proactive problem solving, and a readiness to collaborate with team members contribute significantly to creating a seamless, fun experience.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
  • Proficiency in POS system operations and cash handling
  • Ability to work days, nights, and weekends as required
  • Ability to stand or walk for 100 percent of the shift
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • Willingness to adhere to company sanitation and alcohol awareness policies

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to engage guests and generate excitement about the Dave & Buster's experience
  • Proficiency in operating POS systems and cash handling
  • Effective English communication skills
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, social environment

  • Manage personal cash bank, ensuring all financial transactions are precise
  • Follow all alcohol awareness procedures including preventing intoxication
  • Assess guest behavior and identify situations that require management attention
  • Greet guests in the social bay area promptly and courteously
  • Assist guests with game selections and provide instructions
  • Maintain knowledge of all entertainment offerings to answer guest questions
  • Enter social bay-related orders into the POS system efficiently
  • Work swiftly and effectively adhering to efficiency principles
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of social bay areas for events or peak times
  • Help clean and reset social bay areas as required
  • Support team members as needed
  • Responsible for sales processed through personal POS keys and opening/closing duties
  • Participate in promotional activities and contests
  • Ensure ongoing guest satisfaction by checking in frequently and maintaining tidiness
  • Maintain a clean and organized social bay station
  • Foster positive working relationships with team members
  • Actively listen and communicate effectively with guests and team
  • Adhere to dress code requirements and maintain professional appearance
  • Perform duties that may include working in noisy, fast-paced environments
  • Stand, walk, lift up to 30 pounds, and perform physical activities as required during shifts
