The Social Bay Concierge role at Dave & Buster's is essential in creating memorable and entertaining experiences for guests within the interactive Social Bays. This position involves being the primary point of contact and guide for groups, assisting them in selecting games that best suit their preferences and needs. A successful Concierge provides expert advice on game strategies, fosters a fun atmosphere, and ensures guests are comfortable and engaged throughout their visit.

The Concierge also collaborates closely with food and beverage teams to ensure seamless service, contributing to the overall satisfaction and enjoyment of the guest experience. Responsibilities also include maintaining cleanliness and readiness of the gaming areas, adhering to alcohol and safety policies, and effectively communicating any issues or guest concerns to management.

Job Requirements

  • minimum age of 18
  • ability to work days, nights and/or weekends as required
  • ability to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment with distracting conditions
  • ability to read and write handwritten notes
  • ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • ability to move about facility and stand for long periods of time
  • ability to walk or stand 100% of shift
  • ability to reach, bend and stoop frequently

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • basic technical aptitude for troubleshooting games
  • knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices
  • ability to stand and move for extended periods
  • positive attitude and enthusiasm for creating fun experiences
  • ability to follow company policies and procedures
  • proficiency in English

Job Duties

  • deliver an unparalleled guest experience through the best combination of food, drinks and games in an ideal environment for celebrating all out fun
  • keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
  • welcome and engage all guests by providing exceptional service that creates unforgettable experiences
  • create an environment of high engagement and fun for our guests
  • guide groups of guests through collaborative activities and games
  • be the knowledge master of the game types and provide tips and tricks to the guests to have the best experience
  • understand guest’s needs to determine which game(s) is best for the group
  • support guests with any service and basic technical questions
  • alert the amusement team when something beyond basic technical assistance is required
  • partner with the service team to ensure our guests receive prompt and attentive beverage and food service
  • complete any required side work to support the set-up and break down of the social bays
  • reset and clean bays to approved standards after use to prepare for next guests
  • adhere to company’s sanitation procedures
  • follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and dealing with intoxicated guests
  • assess guest demeanor and identify when behavior should be called to the attention of a manager
  • assist other team members as needed or as business dictates
  • maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company team members to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate and help keep high morale, productivity and efficiency/effectiveness
  • be skilled in effectively communicating with guests in order to generate enthusiasm about the d&b experience
  • be able to read and communicate in English
  • dress in proper dress code requirements, looking neat, clean and professional at all times
  • be at least 18 years of age
