The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager role at Valley View Casino & Hotel is critical in supporting and supervising front-of-house operations within assigned Food & Beverage outlets. This position plays a pivotal role in upholding the high standards of guest service and operational excellence the property is known for. The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager will lead by example, overseeing daily functions and guiding team members to deliver personalized, courteous service that fosters guest satisfaction and loyalty. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Two years of restaurant/beverage management experience or equivalent
  • One year of leadership experience including mentoring, training, and coaching or completion of six months in the job coach program
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both written and oral
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to maintain camaraderie in Food & Beverage operations
  • Ability to multitask and reprioritize
  • Demonstrated confidentiality and safeguarding of information
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Leadership ability with clear communication

  • Ability to stand on hard surfaces for long periods
  • Ability to maintain and advance camaraderie within Food & Beverage operations

Job Duties

  • Maintain positive guest relations and resolve guest complaints
  • Greet guests courteously using personalized service
  • Monitor and engage staff for outstanding guest interactions
  • Ensure front of house Food & Beverage operations align with strategic plans
  • Promote outstanding guest relations and service
  • Maintain cleanliness and health code compliance of assigned areas
  • Resolve guest complaints and special requests timely
  • Maximize cost effectiveness within assigned area by adhering to budgets and labor benchmarks
  • Ensure beverage standards comply with alcohol license requirements
  • Maintain accurate tip reporting and tracking daily
  • Mentor team members
  • Collaborate with management on Food & Beverage operations and guest service improvements
  • Conduct daily team member huddles
  • Enforce safety rules within span of control
  • Maintain knowledge of company facilities and special events
  • Attend special events, meetings, and training sessions
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Conduct all responsibilities professionally and ethically
  • Maintain consistent, regular attendance
  • Adhere to department performance standards and policies
