Job Requirements
- Less than high school education or equivalent experience
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience
- Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
- Ability to do simple addition and subtraction
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- Ability to write identifying information and request supplies orally or in writing
- Must be able to perform medium work exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly
- Must have clarity of vision at distance and color vision
- Must be able to perform physical activities including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- Must maintain strict adherence to personal hygiene and dress policies
- Must report to work as scheduled and on time

Job Duties
- Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions
- Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner
- Make an effort to learn customers' names and address them by name when possible
- Assist customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading or unloading heavy items, noting and passing along customer suggestions or requests, and performing other tasks to enhance the shopping experience
- Answer telephone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service including taking customer orders
- Take customer orders at the counter
- Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- Handle food in a safe manner and maintain a clean and neat work area
- Review the status and appearance of food for freshness
- Ensure adequate food supply is ready and follow production lists
- Anticipate daily product needs and prepare or replenish products as necessary
- Check in product, put product away, and review invoices when applicable
- Run departmental registers and handle payments and change as applicable
- Remove trash in a timely manner
- Maintain strict adherence to personal hygiene and dress guidelines
- Adhere to company policies and store guidelines
- Report to work as scheduled and on time
- Wash dishes as necessary
- Order products and supplies as needed
- Price products for customers as necessary
- Assist in other store areas as needed
- Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required
