Job Description
Kimpton Hotels is a renowned boutique hotel brand that revolutionized the hospitality industry by focusing on heartfelt, human connections. Founded in 1981 by Bill Kimpton, the brand was born from a desire to move away from the impersonal and generic hospitality experiences that were common at the time. Instead, Kimpton Hotels set a new standard, creating environments where guests and employees alike could connect genuinely and meaningfully. With its roots deeply embedded in San Francisco’s entrepreneurial spirit, Kimpton continues to thrive by fostering a unique culture that celebrates individuality, creativity, and self-leadership. The company is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of its employees, guests, owners, and the communities it serves.
As a Sales Manager at Kimpton Hotels, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and expanding the hotel’s market presence. This full-time position involves direct sales solicitation, engaging communication, and active community involvement to increase hotel exposure in major markets. Your efforts will directly influence the hotel's revenue by targeting both new and repeat business opportunities. The role requires a dynamic and proactive individual who can act as the face of Kimpton in the local and regional marketplace, representing the brand with enthusiasm and professionalism.
Your responsibilities will include achieving and surpassing weekly and quarterly sales goals based on assigned markets, soliciting and negotiating bookings to maximize room revenue, and developing strong relationships with key accounts to enhance market share. You will be expected to manage sales activities efficiently, track performance metrics using tools such as Delphi, and conduct sales presentations and site inspections. Additionally, travel may be necessary to engage with clients personally, attend trade shows, and foster business development initiatives. Creativity and flexibility are essential traits, especially when crafting marketing action plans and proposals aimed at securing profitable contracts.
Kimpton values individuals who are self-driven, passionate about hospitality, and enjoy working in a vibrant, service-oriented environment. As part of their diverse and inclusive team, you will be welcomed for your unique talents and personality, encouraging you to bring your authentic self to work. The work culture at Kimpton is lively, unconventional, and empowering, offering an exceptional experience not only for guests but also for team members. If you are motivated to improve lives through your work, thrive in high-energy settings, and excel at multitasking and strategic sales management, this opportunity is tailored for you.
