Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely
  • Knowledge of chemical handling and safety procedures
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to follow health and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or dishwashing role preferred
  • Basic understanding of kitchen safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and strong work ethic
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle cleaning duties

Job Duties

  • Wash dishes as the primary function
  • Hang clean cooking utensils, pots, pans and baskets on appropriate hooks throughout the kitchen
  • Fill and change chemicals and soap used in the 3-comp sink
  • Handle and use various cleaning chemicals in accordance with material safety data sheets (MSDS)
  • Sort flatware into bins for proper cleaning and sanitizing
  • Assist the management team in controlling food costs by demonstrating concern for cost and inventory control
  • Maintain kitchen surroundings, including floors, in the manner that meets standards of cleanliness, sanitation and health regulations
