Joining Architectural Nexus as a receptionist means becoming the welcoming face and central communication hub of an energetic, growing office. This full-time role is vital to maintaining the smooth and effective daily operations of the Salt Lake City office. The receptionist will be the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and team members, providing warm, professional greetings and guiding guests through set protocols to ensure security and clarity. Beyond greeting responsibilities, this position encompasses diverse administrative support tasks such as managing a multi-line phone system, directing calls efficiently, sorting and distributing mail, and maintaining the company calendar. The receptionist also handles vital logistical functions like ordering office supplies and coordinating food orders for office meetings.
An important aspect of the receptionist's duties includes arranging travel itineraries and assisting with scheduling conference rooms, company vehicles, and office equipment. Additionally, the role involves various general clerical duties, which may expand as new needs arise within the office environment. The position demands a professional demeanor, exceptional communication skills, and a strong ability to multitask with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with specialized tools for communications and planning where applicable.
The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic work setting, demonstrating reliability, punctuality, and a positive, proactive attitude. Experience in reception or administrative assistant roles in professional services such as architecture, engineering, or legal offices is highly desirable, as well as skills related to calendar management, travel coordination, and event planning. Knowledge of platforms like Canva or Microsoft Planner is considered a plus, enhancing communication and organization within the team.
At Architectural Nexus, employees benefit from a growth-oriented and supportive culture characterized by collaboration and shared success within an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP). The company offers comprehensive health and dental insurance, competitive retirement plans including 401(k) matching, performance-based bonuses with biannual recognition, and generous paid time off. The organization also supports community engagement by providing paid volunteer time and offers parental leave to support families.
