Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Minimum one year of progressively responsible experience in aircraft or drone operation or relevant technical field
Proficient in MS Windows
Basic understanding of electronics and networking
Must meet minimum qualifications at time of hire
Ability to work under high stress and fast paced conditions
Ability to work extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Valid driver's license
Must possess or be able to obtain US passport for extensive travel
Strong organizational and communication skills
Electrically and mechanically inclined
Proficient with hand tools and electrical test equipment
Ability to maintain professionalism and collaboration skills in complex situations

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
One year of progressively responsible experience in aircraft operation, drone operation, or a strong background in media, broadcasting, technical, IT, engineering, or production industry
Proficient in MS Windows
Basic understanding of electronics and networking
FAA Private Pilot License (PPL) or FAA 107 license strongly preferred
Bachelor's degree or associate degree or technical school diploma preferred
Skilled with computers
Electrically and mechanically inclined with proficiency in hand tools and electrical test equipment
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Good analytical and creative skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
Willingness and ability to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as required
Extensive domestic and international travel capabilities
Must possess or be able to obtain a US passport

Job Duties

Act as on-site manager for flight equipment and crew at events
Follow and operate the SkyCam system within established safe protocols and procedures
Interface directly with clients, Engineers in Charge (EIC), and Technical Operations Manager to ensure safe and proper installation
Fly, orient, and position the SkyCam system for live camera operators
Assemble and rig the system using necessary tools and parts
Work under the direction of the Network Operations Center (NOC) and Technical Operations Manager for deployment, maintenance, and repair
Communicate technical needs and irregular operations to the onsite EIC, NOC, and Technical Operations Manager
Provide final reports on all live events
Document all deployments as required
Attend camera meetings and advocate for safe operational capabilities
Set up and confirm NOC communications
Manage equipment setup and operation on client job sites
Interface with client and venue personnel
Ensure safe operation of equipment considering weather and equipment malfunctions
Complete technical reports for each job
Report equipment issues and recommendations to the Chief Technical Officer (CTO)
Provide updates to site surveys as needed
Ensure all safety schedules and protocols including pre-flight and flight parameters are followed
