Job Requirements
- bachelor's degree or equivalent Amazon experience
- 3+ years of increasing responsibility in WHS or environmental roles
- 3+ years of people and performance management or 2+ years of Amazon Safety experience
- ability to work flexible shifts including days, nights, and weekends
- must obtain adult First Aid, CPR, AED certification within 3 weeks if not currently certified
- strong understanding of local, regional, and federal regulations
- demonstrated leadership and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- bachelor's degree or 2+ years of Amazon blue badge/FTE experience
- 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations
- 3+ years of people and performance management experience or 2+ years of Amazon Safety blue badge/FTE experience
- distribution center or manufacturing WHS experience preferred
- master’s degree preferred
- experience with lean principles and process improvement
- certified safety professional preferred
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- ability to develop and implement departmental goals and strategies
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Job Duties
- possess a thorough understanding of local, regional and federal regulations and company policy
- provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance to all applicable Amazon WHS policies
- measure site performance against published WHS requirements and develop plans to address deficiencies
- analyze WHS metrics and incident trends to allocate resources effectively
- perform frequent site WHS audits to identify non-compliance and implement corrective measures
- audit recordkeeping practices and Gensuite entries for compliance
- ensure site leadership and associates receive effective WHS training and understand their responsibilities
