The role available is for a Signature Suite Head Butler, a pivotal position within our hospitality team responsible for creating and maintaining exceptional personalized experiences for guests staying in our Signature Suites. This full-time role demands a polished hospitality professional with a refined skill set, capable of managing every aspect of the guest experience with impeccable attention to detail and grace. Acting as the primary point of contact, the Head Butler anticipates guest needs, proactively coordinates bespoke services, and ensures flawless execution from the moment pre-arrival communications begin until after the guest departs the property. The position requires excellent communication skills, both with guests and cross-departmental teams throughout the hotel, encouraging seamless collaboration to exceed guest expectations.
In addition to direct guest services, the Signature Suite Head Butler plays a crucial leadership role in training and elevating butler service standards throughout the resort. This includes conducting classroom style training sessions, providing on-the-job coaching, real-time feedback to associates, and supporting ongoing professional growth initiatives for the butler team. Leadership responsibilities extend to administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll, disciplinary actions, and inventory management, ensuring operational excellence within the butler department.
This role requires a high level of emotional intelligence, integrity, and discretion, as well as proficiency in hotel software systems including PMS, housekeeping software, and reservation platforms. Workplace responsibilities span a variety of functions including guest greeting and escorting, managing stay details such as dining and recreation bookings, arranging transportation, and ensuring the impeccable maintenance of the suites. The position also involves acting as a liaison for various departments internally, ensuring fluid communication, and upholding company standards in service delivery. The successful candidate will have significant experience in Butler services within an ultra-luxury property setting, ideally coupled with hospitality management experience. Job Requirements
- Minimum 2-4 years butler experience at ultra luxury property
- Preferred minimum 2 years in hospitality management role
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with frequent lifting and carrying of objects up to 25 lbs
- Ability to walk stand reach handle feel talk hear and see to a significant degree
Job Qualifications
- Proficiency in housekeeping front office and food and beverage knowledge
- Expertise in standard butler practices
- Ability to coach and train team members in classroom and on the job settings
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- High level of emotional intelligence and discretion
- Valid United States drivers license
Job Duties
- Managing the stay details of Signature Suite guests from pre-arrival to post stay including packing and unpacking services dining and recreation reservations in room requests transportation needs and bespoke services
- Communicating directly with Destination and Leisure Sales teams upon booking of Signature Suites
- Proficiently utilizing all hotel software including PMS housekeeping software food and beverage and recreation reservation systems
- Coordinating with VIP team on all pre-arrival communication via phone email and text message
- Serving as a liaison between guests and all hotel departments to ensure seamless communication and flawless execution of all requests
- Greeting escorting and checking in all Signature Suite guests
- Establishing genuine rapport and relationships with Signature Suite guests
- Collaborating with housekeeping engineering and other departments to ensure suites are immaculately kept maintained and ready for arrival
- Maintaining butler pantry including weekly inventories
- Proactively completing managerial responsibilities including scheduling payroll disciplinary action and ordering
- Functioning as a butler for assigned rooms
- Training newly hired butlers on service standards personalization anticipatory service and technical skills
- Hosting two-day Butler Academy training sessions
- Conducting on the floor training and shadowing of team members weekly and monthly
