Job Description
Benchmark is a leading company devoted to innovating for a healthier, safer, and better-connected world to create a brighter future. With operations spanning commercial aerospace, defense, advanced computing, next-generation communications, complex industrials, medical, and semiconductor capital equipment, Benchmark is dedicated to making a meaningful impact across multiple high-technology sectors. The company fosters a culture focused on career growth, inclusivity, and collaboration, ensuring that employees reach their full potential. Employees at Benchmark are empowered to contribute ideas and innovations that drive progress and create value for customers and communities worldwide. This commitment to purpose-driven work positions Benchmark as an employer of choice in technologically advanced manufacturing and systems assembly.
Benchmark is currently seeking a Systems Integration Technician for a full-time position located in Rochester, Minnesota, working Shift 4 (Friday through Sunday, 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM). This role offers a competitive compensation range of $17.62 to $22.03 USD plus shift differential, reflecting the candidate’s skills, certifications, experience, and business needs. The Systems Integration Technician is a vital member of the production team responsible for preparing products for systems-level assembly. This preparation includes unpacking components, set-up assembly, final packaging, and repair activities as required. The role involves accessing detailed documentation such as job paperwork and drawings to verify kits, label accessories appropriately, and maintain high quality standards throughout the assembly process.
The successful candidate uses various tools, including torque wrenches and screwdrivers, and follows manufacturing routings and process instructions under supervision, gradually advancing to more independent work. Duties include assembling diverse system integration subassemblies, entering essential production data into systems like the Process Feedback System (PFS) and Operations Complete (Baan), and ensuring product quality to meet or exceed customer expectations. Additionally, the technician may be called upon to disassemble, repair, and reassemble units within certified repair operations.
Benchmark values employees’ discretion, confidentiality, attention to detail, and professionalism. The position requires effective interpersonal skills, the ability to work collaboratively in diverse groups, and flexibility to support a 24/7 global business environment with potential overnight or weekend shifts. The company promotes continuous improvement activities and offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes a Bonus Plan, 401(k), paid time off, and health, dental, and vision insurance based on scheduled hours. Benchmark complies with applicable state and local employee leave laws and maintains a drug- and alcohol-free workplace, conducting required drug testing due to the safety-sensitive nature of this position.
Joining Benchmark means becoming part of a dynamic workforce that values innovation, creativity, and meaningful career growth. The company’s emphasis on purpose-driven roles and positive global impact provides an enriching environment to develop one’s skills while contributing to extraordinary accomplishments that shape the future. If you are committed to quality, have a strong mechanical aptitude, and seek to thrive in a cutting-edge manufacturing environment, Benchmark's Systems Integration Technician opportunity is an excellent fit to build your career and make a difference.
