Job Description

Benchmark is a leading company dedicated to innovation that drives a healthier, safer, and better-connected world with a vision to create a brighter future. Our company operates across multiple sectors including commercial aerospace, defense, advanced computing, next-generation communications, complex industrials, medical technology, and semiconductor capital equipment. At Benchmark, we prioritize career growth and provide a supportive environment designed to help employees reach their fullest potential. We foster a culture that values collaboration, inclusivity, and purpose-driven work. Employees at Benchmark are not only contributing to cutting-edge engineering design and manufacturing services but are also shaping a positive global impact with the products developed here. As a team member, you will be part of a workplace where your ideas and unique talents matter, contributing to a larger mission that improves lives worldwide. We emphasize equal opportunity employment and a diverse workforce that brings different perspectives and creativity to our operations, ensuring a vibrant, innovative workplace.

This role involves preparing products for systems-level assembly, including unpacking, setup assembly, final packaging, and repair when necessary. The position is based at our Huntsville, Alabama location with a standard schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, in a full-time capacity on Shift 1. As part of your daily responsibilities, you will access the necessary paperwork and drawings for each job assignment and verify kits while entering batch lot information and labeling accessory items according to established instructions. You will use appropriate mats and tools while checking equipment performance like torque wrenches and screwdrivers to ensure accurate assembly. This role requires close adherence to manufacturing routings and process instructions, and you may be involved in assembling various system integration subassemblies. Reporting any shutdown situations to leadership and entering data into the Process Feedback System (PFS), as well as updating quantities in the Operations Complete (Baan) system, will be key aspects of this job. Every employee shares responsibility for maintaining the quality of their work to meet or exceed customer satisfaction standards. The role demands high attention to detail, good component recognition skills, basic computer literacy, and effective interpersonal communication. You will also demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality representing the company. The position may require supporting a 24/7 global business operation and the ability to work overtime when needed. Joining Benchmark means working in an innovative environment with cutting-edge technology where your career is meaningful and your contributions help shape a better future for all. Together, we strive to achieve extraordinary outcomes that affect real-world change, offering not just a job but a fulfilling career path in a respectful and forward-thinking company environment. Please note that due to export control regulations, employment may be contingent upon verification that an applicant qualifies as a U.S. Person or the company obtaining necessary export licenses. Benchmark is committed to supporting employees with disabilities and providing accommodations as needed.
