Job Requirements

  • Possess and maintain a valid state driver's license with current address and acceptable driving record
  • Required to have a Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Card
  • Availability to work special shifts as needed including third shift and/or weekends
  • Must reliably be at work every scheduled day on time and in uniform
  • Ability to stand, walk, use hands regularly, occasionally sit, climb, balance, and occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times

Job Qualifications

  • Less than high school education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers and other employees
  • Ability to add, subtract two-digit numbers, multiply and divide with tens and hundreds
  • Ability to perform mathematical operations using units of American money
  • Must maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in uniform at all times

Job Duties

  • Performing vehicle inspections
  • Maintaining cleanliness of bus interiors
  • Fueling of buses
  • Logging trip counts
  • Assisting disabled passengers
  • Being at work every scheduled day on time and in uniform
  • Possessing and maintaining a valid state-issued driver's license
  • Courteously assisting customers and directing inquiries to the Facility Manager if needed
  • Reporting accidents, safety hazards, and policy violations to the Facility Manager
  • Communicating issues such as debris or spills to the garage office
  • Substituting for cashiers or valets when authorized
  • Having thorough knowledge of all garage areas and surrounding streets
  • Assisting customers with luggage where applicable
  • Assisting Facility Manager with other duties as needed
