Job Requirements

  • Valid state driver’s license with current address
  • Acceptable driving record verified by DMV
  • Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card)
  • Availability to work special shifts, including 3rd shift and/or weekends if required
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one situations
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations
  • Neat and clean appearance
  • Ability to regularly stand, walk, use hands, occasionally sit, climb, balance
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Commitment to safety and reporting incidents
  • Good customer service skills

Job Qualifications

  • Less than high school education or one month related experience, training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers and company employees
  • Ability to add, subtract two digit numbers and multiply and divide with tens and hundreds
  • Ability to perform arithmetic operations using units of American money
  • Must maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times

Job Duties

  • Performing vehicle inspections
  • Maintaining cleanliness of bus interiors
  • Fueling of buses
  • Logging trip counts
  • Assisting disabled passengers
  • Being at work every scheduled day on time and in uniform
  • Possessing a valid state-issued driver’s license to be carried at all times
  • Maintaining an acceptable DMV record
  • Assisting customers courteously and directing them to Facility Manager if needed
  • Reporting accidents, policy violations, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to Facility Manager
  • Communicating debris, water, oil spills to garage office
  • Substituting for Cashiers or Valets when authorized
  • Having thorough knowledge of garage areas, major streets, landmarks and freeways
  • Assisting customers with luggage and other traveling items if applicable
  • Assisting Facility Manager with other duties as needed
