Job Requirements
- Valid state driver’s license with current address
- Acceptable driving record verified by DMV
- Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card)
- Availability to work special shifts, including 3rd shift and/or weekends if required
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one situations
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations
- Neat and clean appearance
- Ability to regularly stand, walk, use hands, occasionally sit, climb, balance
- Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Commitment to safety and reporting incidents
- Good customer service skills
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school education or one month related experience, training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers and company employees
- Ability to add, subtract two digit numbers and multiply and divide with tens and hundreds
- Ability to perform arithmetic operations using units of American money
- Must maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times
Job Duties
- Performing vehicle inspections
- Maintaining cleanliness of bus interiors
- Fueling of buses
- Logging trip counts
- Assisting disabled passengers
- Being at work every scheduled day on time and in uniform
- Possessing a valid state-issued driver’s license to be carried at all times
- Maintaining an acceptable DMV record
- Assisting customers courteously and directing them to Facility Manager if needed
- Reporting accidents, policy violations, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to Facility Manager
- Communicating debris, water, oil spills to garage office
- Substituting for Cashiers or Valets when authorized
- Having thorough knowledge of garage areas, major streets, landmarks and freeways
- Assisting customers with luggage and other traveling items if applicable
- Assisting Facility Manager with other duties as needed
