The role of a US Foods Driver is critical to the company's distribution network. This position primarily involves operating tractor trailers loaded with various food products such as meats, produce, frozen foods, and dry goods to and from remote dispatch sites. The position requires a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) Class A with a doubles endorsement as driving doubles trailers is an essential part of the job. Safety is paramount, necessitating thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and adherence to stringent driving regulations and company policies. Job Requirements
- must be at least 21 years of age
- have a valid cdl class a issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and dot qualifications
- minimum 6 months commercial driving experience
- doubles endorsement required
- comfortable working overnight
- ability to operate manual transmission preferred
- must be able to read and communicate in the english language
- registered to the fmca clearinghouse
