The Shuttle Driver position is integral to the smooth operation of Performance Foodservice’s logistic functions. This role focuses on transporting empty and full trailers between operating company warehouses and domiciles or shuttle yard locations. The driver operates tandem trailers, tractor trailers, and/or straight trucks, covering both intrastate and interstate routes. A key responsibility is ensuring the timely and safe transportation of goods while adhering strictly to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety guidelines.

Scheduled primarily from Sunday through Friday with one to three trips dispatched between the hours of 2:30 pm and 12:00 am, this role involves rigorous attention to vehicle inspection, paperwork accuracy, and safe driving practices. The role includes a comprehensive 2-week training conducted in Temple, TX, equipping drivers with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.

Additional incentives are offered, such as a $5,000 sign-on bonus (with certain eligibility restrictions) and a performance incentive that rewards drivers quarterly for meeting specific benchmarks, with the opportunity to earn up to $2,000 annually.
