Job Requirements
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language
- ability to assist the Bakery Manager
- ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- ability to work in varying temperatures
- ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products, spices and powdered substances without negative allergic consequences
- ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents during housekeeping
- ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way
- ability to work cooperatively with others
- ability to work all assigned schedules and comply with attendance policies
- must be 18 years or older to operate balers, forklifts, power jacks, and slicing machines
Job Qualifications
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English
- ability to assist the Bakery Manager effectively
- strong interpersonal skills to interact with customers and coworkers
- capability to follow detailed recipes and safety standards
- experience with bakery equipment operation is desirable
- knowledge of sanitation and quality assurance standards
- ability to maintain an organized work environment
- able to stand and perform physical tasks over extended periods
- familiarity with local, state and federal food safety regulations
Job Duties
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
- maintain department sanitation and quality assurance standards
- clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment
- keep floor clear of debris and spills
- greet all customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance
- maintain and properly use all department equipment
- pack out product into display cases
- rotate product to ensure freshness
- ensure accurate signage for the department
- prepare trays to company and customer satisfaction
- perform all duties in accordance with local, state and federal regulations
- dress and groom according to company policy
- perform duties in accordance with quality assurance hand washing standards
- follow recipes to produce specified food products
- adhere to weights and measures guidelines
- set up, operate, and tend bakery equipment
- prepare special order requests
- track sales on production logs
- take inventory and reorder supplies
- check prices and merchandise location
- promote charitable promotions
- stand for entire shifts
- receive deliveries and place reclamation
- lift and move merchandise
- assist other departments as needed
- comply with company policies and safety requirements
- follow HAZCOM program
- handle damaged and spoiled products
- check refrigeration and equipment
- complete training programs
- maintain regular attendance
- work overtime as assigned
- work cooperatively with others
- perform other duties as assigned
