Job Requirements

Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language
ability to assist the Bakery Manager
ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
ability to work in varying temperatures
ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products, spices and powdered substances without negative allergic consequences
ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents during housekeeping
ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way
ability to work cooperatively with others
ability to work all assigned schedules and comply with attendance policies
must be 18 years or older to operate balers, forklifts, power jacks, and slicing machines

Job Qualifications

ability to assist the Bakery Manager effectively
strong interpersonal skills to interact with customers and coworkers
capability to follow detailed recipes and safety standards
experience with bakery equipment operation is desirable
knowledge of sanitation and quality assurance standards
ability to maintain an organized work environment
able to stand and perform physical tasks over extended periods
familiarity with local, state and federal food safety regulations

Job Duties

Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
maintain department sanitation and quality assurance standards
clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment
keep floor clear of debris and spills
greet all customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance
maintain and properly use all department equipment
pack out product into display cases
rotate product to ensure freshness
ensure accurate signage for the department
prepare trays to company and customer satisfaction
perform all duties in accordance with local, state and federal regulations
dress and groom according to company policy
perform duties in accordance with quality assurance hand washing standards
follow recipes to produce specified food products
adhere to weights and measures guidelines
set up, operate, and tend bakery equipment
prepare special order requests
track sales on production logs
take inventory and reorder supplies
check prices and merchandise location
promote charitable promotions
stand for entire shifts
receive deliveries and place reclamation
lift and move merchandise
assist other departments as needed
comply with company policies and safety requirements
follow HAZCOM program
handle damaged and spoiled products
check refrigeration and equipment
complete training programs
maintain regular attendance
work overtime as assigned
work cooperatively with others
perform other duties as assigned
