Job Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior bakery or food service experience preferred
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and recipes
- Ability to maintain hygiene and safety standards
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and overtime as needed
- Must comply with company uniform and grooming policies
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, standing, bending, and walking
- Must pass any required health and safety training
- Ability to operate bakery equipment safely
- Ability to communicate effectively with team and customers
Job Qualifications
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English
- Ability to stand and walk for duration of shift
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, pull and lift 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally
- Ability to work in varying temperatures
- Ability to handle fresh, dried or processed products without allergic reactions
- Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents
- Ability to interact with customers in a friendly manner
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Ability to comply with time and attendance policies
Job Duties
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
- Maintain department sanitation and QA standards
- Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment
- Keep floor clear of debris and spills
- Greet all customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance
- Maintain and properly use all department equipment
- Pack out product into display cases
- Rotate product to ensure freshness
- Ensure accurate signage for the department
- Prepare trays to company’s and customer’s satisfaction
- Perform duties in accordance with local, state and federal regulations
- Dress and groom according to company policy
- Perform duties in accordance with QA hand washing standards and use disposable gloves
- Follow recipes to produce food products
- Operate bakery equipment as per recipes and formulas
- Prepare special order requests
- Track sales on production logs
- Take inventory and reorder supplies
- Place reclamation properly
- Regularly lift and handle merchandise
- Unload trucks and transport merchandise
- Check prices and item locations
- Promote charitable sales
- Stand for extended shifts
- Receive deliveries
- Assist other departments
- Follow HAZCOM and safety programs
- Adhere to company rules and health regulations
- Handle damaged and spoiled products
- Adhere to shrink guidelines
- Report equipment issues
- Check refrigeration equipment
- Complete training
- Maintain punctuality and regular attendance
- Work overtime as assigned
- Must be 18 or older to operate equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned
