Job Requirements

Minimum age of 18 years
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Capacity to lift and move heavy items up to 50 lbs
Ability to work in different temperature environments
Ability to handle food products safely without allergic response

Job Qualifications

Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language
Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs, and occasionally lift 50 lbs
Ability to work in varying temperatures
Ability to work with fresh, dried and processed products, spices and powdered substances without allergic reactions
Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents
Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way
Ability to work cooperatively with others
Ability to comply with all time and attendance policies

Job Duties

Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
Maintain department sanitation and quality assurance standards
Clean and sanitize work surfaces, utensils and equipment
Keep floor clear of debris and spills
Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service
Maintain and properly use department equipment
Pack out products into display cases
Rotate products to ensure freshness
Ensure accurate signage for the department
Prepare trays to company and customer satisfaction
Perform duties in compliance with Local, State and Federal regulations
Dress and groom according to company policy
Follow QA hand washing standards and use disposable gloves when handling food
Follow recipes to produce specified food products
Operate equipment that cooks, mixes, or processes ingredients
Prepare special order requests
Track sales movement on production logs
Take accurate inventory of supplies weekly and reorder as needed
Place reclamation in proper location
Regularly lift, pull, push and rotate merchandise up to 50 lbs
Unload trucks and transport merchandise to bakery department
Check prices and know item locations
Promote current charitable promotions
Stand for duration of scheduled shift
Receive deliveries
Assist in other departments when instructed
Perform duties according to company safety and security standards
Handle damaged and spoiled products according to policy
Understand and comply with company shrink guidelines
Utilize and maintain equipment, reporting problems
Check refrigeration equipment regularly
Complete department training programs
Maintain punctual and regular attendance
Work overtime as assigned
Work cooperatively with others
Must be 18 or older to operate certain machinery
Perform other duties as assigned
