Job Qualifications

  • Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
  • Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs, and occasionally lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures
  • Ability to work with fresh, dried and processed products, spices and powdered substances without allergic reactions
  • Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents
  • Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others
  • Ability to comply with all time and attendance policies

Job Duties

  • Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
  • Maintain department sanitation and quality assurance standards
  • Clean and sanitize work surfaces, utensils and equipment
  • Keep floor clear of debris and spills
  • Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service
  • Maintain and properly use department equipment
  • Pack out products into display cases
  • Rotate products to ensure freshness
  • Ensure accurate signage for the department
  • Prepare trays to company and customer satisfaction
  • Perform duties in compliance with Local, State and Federal regulations
  • Dress and groom according to company policy
  • Follow QA hand washing standards and use disposable gloves when handling food
  • Follow recipes to produce specified food products
  • Operate equipment that cooks, mixes, or processes ingredients
  • Prepare special order requests
  • Track sales movement on production logs
  • Take accurate inventory of supplies weekly and reorder as needed
  • Place reclamation in proper location
  • Regularly lift, pull, push and rotate merchandise up to 50 lbs
  • Unload trucks and transport merchandise to bakery department
  • Check prices and know item locations
  • Promote current charitable promotions
  • Stand for duration of scheduled shift
  • Receive deliveries
  • Assist in other departments when instructed
  • Perform duties according to company safety and security standards
  • Handle damaged and spoiled products according to policy
  • Understand and comply with company shrink guidelines
  • Utilize and maintain equipment, reporting problems
  • Check refrigeration equipment regularly
  • Complete department training programs
  • Maintain punctual and regular attendance
  • Work overtime as assigned
  • Work cooperatively with others
  • Must be 18 or older to operate certain machinery
  • Perform other duties as assigned
