Job Requirements

  • Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English
  • Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
  • Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and regularly lift 25 lbs, occasionally lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures
  • Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products without allergic reactions
  • Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents
  • Ability to interact with customers in a friendly manner
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others
  • Ability to work assigned schedules and comply with attendance policies
  • Must be 18 years or older to operate balers, hi-los, power jacks, and slicing machines

Job Qualifications

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience with food preparation or bakery operations is a plus
  • Knowledge of sanitation and food safety standards

Job Duties

  • Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
  • Maintain department sanitation and QA standards
  • Clean and sanitize work surfaces, utensils and equipment
  • Keep floor clear of debris and spills
  • Greet customers and provide courteous service
  • Use department equipment properly
  • Pack out product into display cases
  • Rotate product to ensure freshness
  • Ensure accurate signage for the department
  • Prepare trays to company and customer satisfaction
  • Follow local, state and federal bakery regulations
  • Adhere to company dress and grooming policy
  • Use disposable gloves and follow hand washing standards
  • Follow recipes to produce specified food products
  • Operate bakery equipment according to recipes
  • Prepare special order requests
  • Track sales on production logs
  • Take inventory and reorder supplies
  • Place reclamation in proper location
  • Lift and move products up to 50 lbs
  • Receive deliveries
  • Assist other departments as needed
  • Adhere to HAZCOM and chemical safety protocols
  • Follow company rules, policies, and safety standards
  • Manage product receiving, storing and price marking
  • Handle damaged and spoiled products
  • Follow company shrink guidelines for bakery
  • Report equipment problems promptly
  • Check refrigeration equipment regularly
  • Complete department training programs
  • Maintain punctual attendance
  • Work overtime as assigned
  • Cooperate with others
  • Operate machinery only if 18 or older
  • Perform other assigned duties
