Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Dependable and organized

  • Experience or familiarity with shipping methods
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Physical ability to handle shipments weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Punctuality and reliability

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility

Job Duties

  • Assure orders and shipping quantities match picking documents
  • Pick and pack orders per instructions, in preparation for shipment
  • Coordinate with package delivery companies (e.g. UPS, Fed Ex, etc.) and freight forwarders to ship goods to their destination in a timely manner
  • Receive inventory: Verify product and quantity received is accurate, packaging and shelve products
  • Process in-bound and out-bound shipments including: moving boxes weighing up to 30 pounds, but on rare occasions up to 50 pounds each
  • Maintain accurate records of all items shipped and received
  • Prepare shipping documents including packing list, commercial invoices and shipping labels for domestic and international shipments
  • Process returns from customers
  • Purchase shipping & laboratory materials, maintenance of materials inventory
  • Manage all Sunnyvale site purchasing requirements
  • Be a member of the Sunnyvale site emergency response team
  • Other essential duties not listed above
