The Shipping and Receiving Clerk role plays a vital part in supporting our warehouse operations by coordinating all incoming and outgoing shipments with accuracy and efficiency. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, this position ensures that all shipping and receiving activities are documented properly, discrepancies are addressed timely, and internal and external communication flows smoothly. The clerk is responsible for verifying documentation, reviewing receipts against open orders, preparing shipping paperwork including Bills of Lading and customs documents, and managing product movement within company divisions. The role demands a detail-oriented, dependable, and highly organized individual capable of managing multiple priorities and delivering consistent results. Effective communication with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments is essential to facilitate accurate transactions and on-time deliveries. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk also ensures compliance with company safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards as well as supporting transportation functions and operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts when needed. This position offers an hourly pay range of $19 to $25 in California, depending on responsibilities and location.
