Established with a mission to inspire and nurture the human spirit, Starbucks has become a leader in the specialty coffee industry. It operates thousands of stores across numerous countries, providing a warm and welcoming space where every cup of coffee sparks connection and community engagement. Starbucks' commitment to quality, innovation, and social responsibility resonates throughout its operations, making it a sought-after employer in the retail and food service sector.
As a shift supervisor at Starbucks, you will play a crucial role in leading your coffeehouse to deliver exceptional customer experiences. This position is more than managing store operations; it’s about leading with heart and craft, ensuring that every shift contributes to a welcoming environment for both customers and partners. You will be responsible for coaching and preparing food and beverages according to standard or customized recipes, managing store safety and security, and supervising staff to maintain high standards of quality and service. With a focus on fostering positive workplace relationships, the role emphasizes team collaboration and effective interpersonal communication.
This role offers the chance to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays, reflecting the dynamic nature of the retail coffee environment. Starbucks invests heavily in the growth and development of its partners, offering industry-leading benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, paid parental leave, vacation accrual, sick time, and participation in retirement plans with employer match. Moreover, Starbucks provides unique educational benefits, including 100% upfront tuition coverage through Arizona State University’s online program via the Starbucks College Achievement Plan, along with financial well-being tools and student loan management resources.
Starbucks values diversity and inclusion, committed to providing equal employment opportunities without discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, disability, or veteran status. The company also ensures reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities. Compensation is competitive and reflective of geographic location and candidate qualifications, with new partners typically hired at the entry point of the pay range for their role. This comprehensive approach to employee well-being, growth, and inclusivity makes Starbucks a distinguished place to work within the hospitality and retail sectors.
