Job Description

Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally recognized leader in the coffeehouse industry, renowned for crafting the world’s finest coffee while creating meaningful and welcoming experiences for its customers. Established with a mission to inspire and nurture the human spirit, Starbucks has become synonymous with quality coffee and community connection. As a prominent multinational coffee chain, Starbucks operates thousands of stores worldwide, fostering a warm and inviting environment where every cup of coffee sparks a special moment of connection between the baristas and customers. The company values growth, diversity, and inclusion, providing ample opportunities for personal and professional development, supported by robust benefits and a culture focused on respect and partnership.

The role of Shift Supervisor at Starbucks is both dynamic and impactful, offered on a flexible schedule to accommodate varying hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays. As a Shift Supervisor, you will take on the critical responsibility of leading with both craft and heart. Your role is to ensure that every shift delivers an exceptional experience by maintaining high standards of service, quality beverages, and food products. You will oversee store operations including cash handling and enforcing safety and security policies to provide a safe environment for both partners and customers. Leading with empathy and strong interpersonal skills, you will delegate tasks effectively and coach your team to excel in their roles. This position offers the unique chance to foster team collaboration, build meaningful relationships within the community, and contribute to a vibrant store culture.

Starbucks invests deeply in the growth journey of each partner, empowering you through developmental experiences and industry-leading benefits. This includes access to comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, life insurance, short and long-term disability coverage, paid parental leave, paid vacation accruals, sick time, holiday pay, and a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match. Educational benefits are a standout feature, with 100% upfront tuition coverage for a first-time bachelor’s degree through Arizona State University’s online program. The company also offers student loan management resources, emergency savings incentives, a discounted company stock program, and additional financial well-being tools. Furthermore, Starbucks supports partners with backup care, assistance for DACA reimbursement, and equitable leave benefits in compliance with state and local laws.

As a Shift Supervisor, you will embody the values of Starbucks, ensuring that each customer feels welcomed and cared for, each partner feels supported, and the store operates efficiently and safely. This is an opportunity to advance your leadership skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment while contributing to a brand that champions ethical sourcing, environmental stewardship, and community impact. Starbucks’ commitment to diversity and inclusion ensures that all qualified applicants receive consideration regardless of race, gender, religion, or disability, reinforcing the company’s status as an employer of choice. Compensation for this role is competitive and geographically adjusted, with clear pathways for growth and development within the company. If you are passionate about coffee craft, customer service excellence, and leadership growth, the Shift Supervisor position at Starbucks offers a fulfilling career path where you can make a meaningful difference every day.
