Job Description

Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally recognized coffeehouse chain renowned for crafting the world's finest coffee and creating meaningful moments with each cup. Established as a leader in the specialty coffee industry, Starbucks has built a unique brand centered around quality, community, and connection. With thousands of stores worldwide, Starbucks serves millions of customers daily by delivering expertly crafted coffee beverages alongside a welcoming and warm environment that sparks human connection. The company emphasizes sustainability, social responsibility, and opportunities for partner (employee) growth. Starbucks prides itself on creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels they belong and can contribute to the brand's mission of inspiring and nurturing the human spirit one person, one cup, and one neighborhood at a time.

The role of a Shift Supervisor at Starbucks is a pivotal leadership position within the coffeehouse that requires both craft expertise and a heart for serving customers and partners alike. As a Shift Supervisor, you will lead by example, ensuring your store feels like a welcoming third place where community members can gather and enjoy their favorite coffee experiences. Your leadership will help maintain high operational standards by coaching your team to prepare quality food and beverage items using established recipes or customer customizations, manage store safety, handle cash transactions responsibly, and deliver excellent customer service.

You will also play an essential role in delegating tasks and motivating partners to create a supportive and efficient team environment. Starbucks believes in empowering its partners through developmental experiences that enhance skills and advance careers. By joining as a Shift Supervisor, you will gain valuable leadership, communication, and retail management skills while working in a diverse and vibrant environment. You will manage flexible work schedules and lead shifts that may occur early mornings, late nights, weekends, or holidays, thus gaining comprehensive exposure to retail coffee operations. Starbucks offers industry-leading benefits designed to support you and your family, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance options, paid parental leave, vacation time, and retirement plans, among others. This role also provides access to educational opportunities such as tuition coverage for bachelor's degree programs through the Starbucks College Achievement Plan.

Starbucks is deeply committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and actively seeks to provide reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities. This position embodies Starbucks’ values by creating a positive impact on customers and partners each day, making it ideal for people who are passionate about leadership, coffee culture, and community engagement.
