Job Description

Starbucks Coffee Company stands as a global leader in the coffeehouse industry, renowned for crafting the world’s finest coffee and fostering meaningful connections in every cup. Since its inception, Starbucks has evolved from a single store in Seattle to a celebrated multinational coffeehouse chain with thousands of locations worldwide. The company’s mission is to inspire and nurture the human spirit – one person, one cup, and one neighborhood at a time. Starbucks prides itself on creating a warm and welcoming environment that serves as a community hub where customers can enjoy high-quality beverages, food, and genuine connections.

This role is an opportunity to join Starbucks as a Shift Supervisor, a vital position that combines leadership, craft, and heart to ensure the coffeehouse remains a welcoming, safe, and vibrant space for both customers and partners (employees). As a Shift Supervisor, you will take on the responsibility of leading shifts with energy and dedication, empowering your team to deliver exceptional customer experiences by maintaining Starbucks’ high standards of product quality, store operations, and service excellence.

In this dynamic role, you will coach and motivate your team, delegate daily tasks, and ensure all Starbucks policies and procedures are adhered to, including food safety, cash handling, and store security. The position requires strong interpersonal skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage various store activities efficiently during busy, fast-paced shifts. Each shift as a supervisor is a chance to brighten someone’s day by creating personalized experiences, whether delicately adjusting beverage recipes to suit customer preferences or solving challenges promptly and professionally.

Starbucks values your growth journey and is invested in your development, offering industry-leading benefits that support your personal and professional wellbeing. This includes comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid parental leave, paid vacation, sick leave, as well as access to education through the Starbucks College Achievement Plan. The company’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion ensures that every partner is treated with respect and afforded equal opportunities regardless of background.

The Shift Supervisor role at Starbucks encompasses more than just managing daily operations; it’s about inspiring a sense of community, fostering teamwork, and exemplifying Starbucks’ commitment to exceptional coffee craftsmanship and heartfelt service. By leading by example and cultivating a positive work environment, you contribute to Starbucks’ global reputation as a beloved coffeehouse where meaningful moments are crafted daily. This position is ideal for those passionate about coffee culture, leadership, customer engagement, and continuous learning, offering a fulfilling career path within one of the world’s most recognizable and respected brands.
