Established in 1971, Starbucks has grown into a leading multinational chain of coffee shops, serving millions of customers worldwide with a mission to inspire and nurture the human spirit one person, one cup, and one neighborhood at a time. The company is renowned not only for its premium coffee but also for creating welcoming, inclusive spaces that foster connection and meaningful moments among its patrons. Starbucks values diversity, growth, and the well-being of its employees, referred to as partners, providing them with extensive benefits and opportunities for career development.
This role is for a Shift Supervisor at Starbucks, a pivotal position that carries the responsibility of leading and inspiring the team within a coffeehouse setting. As a Shift Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring that every cup served meets Starbucks' high standards of quality and service. You will play a key role in coaching and developing partners, maintaining store safety and operational standards, and creating a positive, welcoming customer experience. This position requires a blend of leadership, interpersonal skills, and operational knowledge within a fast-paced retail environment.
The Shift Supervisor will be expected to lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and customer-focused attitude. You will manage staff tasks, delegate responsibilities effectively, and foster teamwork and communication to deliver an exceptional coffeehouse environment. The role also demands flexibility in working hours, including availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and nights to meet store demands.
Starbucks is deeply invested in the growth and development of its partners, offering comprehensive training and career advancement opportunities. Employees in this role benefit from industry-leading benefits such as medical, dental, vision insurance, paid parental leave, paid vacation, sick time, and participation in a 401(k) plan with employer match, among others. Starbucks also values education, providing 100% tuition coverage for a first-time bachelor's degree through Arizona State University’s online program.
In addition to leading operational excellence, the Shift Supervisor is a key ambassador for Starbucks' values and culture, ensuring the coffeehouse is a safe, inclusive, and engaging place for both customers and partners. The role is suitable for individuals who are passionate about coffee, community, and leadership, who enjoy working in a dynamic environment, and who are committed to delivering quality and service that exceeds customer expectations.
