Established in Seattle in 1971, Starbucks has grown into an iconic brand with thousands of stores worldwide, dedicated to making every cup of coffee a meaningful moment. The company prides itself not only on its premium quality coffee but also on fostering connections within the communities it serves. Starbucks is renowned for its dedication to sustainability, employee development, and ethical sourcing practices, making it a leader in the coffee industry and a preferred employer for individuals passionate about coffee and customer service.
As a Shift Supervisor at Starbucks, you will play a crucial role in leading your team with both craft and heart to ensure that your coffeehouse is a welcoming space where customers feel valued and engaged. This role is more than managing a shift; it is about inspiring and developing a team to deliver exceptional customer experiences consistently. You will be responsible for overseeing store operations during your shift, ensuring that all beverages and food products are prepared to Starbucks' high standards, and that the store environment remains safe and welcoming. By fostering strong interpersonal relationships among your team members and customers, you help cultivate a positive and efficient work environment.
The position requires flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays, reflecting the dynamic nature of the retail environment. As a Shift Supervisor, you will delegate and coordinate tasks effectively, coach employees on beverage and food preparation, and uphold Starbucks’ operational policies and standards. The company offers industry-leading benefits to support your personal and professional growth, including access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid parental leave, retirement plans with employer match, and educational opportunities like the Starbucks College Achievement Plan for tuition coverage through Arizona State University’s online program.
At Starbucks, the culture prioritizes growth and development, encouraging partners to thrive both inside and outside of their roles. This supervisory role offers a unique opportunity to actively shape the customer experience and lead a team toward shared success. Starbucks values diversity and inclusion, providing equal employment opportunities for all qualified applicants. The company ensures reasonable accommodations are available for employees and applicants with disabilities, reinforcing its commitment to an inclusive workplace. Working as a Shift Supervisor at Starbucks means being part of a global community dedicated to excellence, connection, and social responsibility, while also advancing your career in an energetic and rewarding environment.
