Job Description
Braum's is a well-established and respected restaurant and food service company known for delivering quality food and exceptional customer experiences. Founded on principles of community, family, and high-quality products, Braum's has grown to become a trusted name in food service and retail markets. With a strong focus on customer satisfaction, the company operates multiple store locations where customers can enjoy fresh, made-to-order food, groceries, and beverages. The brand emphasizes a collaborative work culture that values dedication, integrity, and the development of its team members. Braum's is committed to providing an inclusive work environment where employees can grow professionally and personally while contributing to the company’s overall success.
The Shift Supervisor role at Braum's plays a crucial part in ensuring that the company's vision, mission, and values are consistently executed on the store floor. As a food service management position, this role involves leading the store crew members during shifts, maintaining operational efficiency, and driving sales by providing excellent customer service and maintaining high food quality standards. The Shift Supervisor actively oversees the day-to-day operations of the store’s food service function, grocery market, and fountain sales. The role demands a high level of leadership, organization, and communication skills to guide the team effectively and create a positive working environment. This position works closely with the Assistant Manager and is responsible for coaching and mentoring team members, monitoring inventory and supplies, ensuring safety and cleanliness, and implementing store policies and procedures.
This full-time position operates on a rotating three-week schedule with varied workdays, generally entailing a 45-hour workweek. The standard shift hours are from 5:30 am to 3:00 pm, which offers candidates a stable yet dynamic schedule. Braum's offers competitive compensation for this role, with an hourly wage ranging from $14.50 to $15.00, equating to an annual salary between $35,500 and $37,000. In addition to the pay package, Braum's supports its employees with comprehensive benefits that include medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k retirement planning with company match, short-term disability insurance, paid vacations, and employee product discounts.
Ideal candidates for the Shift Supervisor position should demonstrate a strong customer focus, an exemplary work ethic with a high standard of integrity, and a positive attitude toward training and developing team members. The ability to build trust within the team, communicate effectively with leadership, and adapt to the needs of both customers and employees is essential. Candidates must be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of following and enforcing company practices and procedures. Retail or food service experience is valued, as is the ability to initiate actions that achieve store goals. The role requires a minimum of one year of relevant experience, a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and candidates must be at least 21 years old. Braum's is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and supports an inclusive workplace diversity policy. A criminal background check and job-fit assessment are part of the onboarding process to ensure a good match for both the candidate and the company environment.
