Job Description
Located at 14916 Cantrell Rd, Little Rock, AR, this establishment is a well-recognized restaurant dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences through quality food, outstanding service, and a clean, welcoming environment. As part of a growing and dynamic segment of the hospitality industry, this restaurant thrives on team-oriented culture and operational excellence that fosters both customer satisfaction and employee growth. The restaurant prides itself on its commitment to compliance with all government regulations, food safety, and security policies, ensuring a safe and secure environment for its patrons and staff alike.
The Shift Supervisor position is a pivotal role within our operations department, reporting directly to the General Manager. This non-exempt role involves taking full responsibility for restaurant operations during assigned shifts when management is not present. The Shift Supervisor leads the team to ensure efficient, accurate preparation and sale of products while upholding the restaurant's speed of service guidelines. Beyond managing food production and order delivery, the Shift Supervisor sets a positive example by actively participating in shift plans and proactively resolving any operational bottlenecks.
A vital aspect of this role includes motivating the team to exceed customer expectations with delicious food and friendly service, creating an atmosphere where customers feel valued and satisfied. The Shift Supervisor fosters a professional and courteous setting, skillfully managing customer feedback and complaints by addressing them promptly and effectively. Team leadership extends toward developing team talent through delegation, training, motivation, and setting challenging goals to enhance individual and overall restaurant performance.
Compliance with operational policies, cash management procedures, and sanitation standards is rigorously enforced by the Shift Supervisor. They ensure that safety, security, and food safety policies are strictly followed, promptly reporting any violations and coordinating short-term solutions. This role contributes significantly to maintaining a clean and safe restaurant environment, which is essential for both customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.
The Shift Supervisor is responsible for managing cash control and inventory procedures during their shift, reconciling deposits, and identifying any cash discrepancies to maintain financial integrity within the restaurant. While certain administrative duties such as ordering products, new hire orientation, payroll input, and formal employee disciplinary actions fall outside the scope of this role, the Shift Supervisor supports management by maintaining discipline and operational order on the floor.
This position is ideal for someone who has demonstrated leadership skills, basic math abilities, and a willingness to undergo required training such as Burger King training and Serve Safe Essentials. The role requires a minimum educational background of a high school diploma or equivalent and requires that the candidate be at least 18 years old. Career advancement opportunities are available, including moving toward roles with greater managerial responsibilities or transitioning into an hourly manager position. This role is fundamental to the daily success of the restaurant and offers a supportive environment for professional growth and operational excellence.
